Godgrief! Get under the Wings of God

God is not a God of wrath, but a God of LOVE and protection. The verses in Matthew tells us of God’s concern for us. Asking us to come in under His wing…like a mother hen would gather her babies.

“O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under herwings, and ye would not!”  Matthew 23:37 – King James Version (KJV)

When I visualize that spiritual message, Kindness overwhelms me and I sense the presence of God. The Father HIMself… warming me with the security that I find under His wing. A place where bad character can fade through understanding–can melt away.  All my troubles and worries dissolve away in the image. Sustaining that level of strength in faith is what I seek diligently.  Thats where I long to stay, because that is where I am most at peace. I long to find the treasures He has given us by seeking Him constantly.

Seek and You Will Find

The Lord did say: “Seek and you will find, knock and it will be opened unto you.”

“Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:”  Matthew 7:7 – King James Version (KJV)

That instruction brings to my mind, the woman constantly coming before the King seeking her will be done.

“And there was a widow in that city; and she came unto him, saying, Avenge me of mine adversary.” Luke 18:3 King James Version (KJV)

That woman who came before the king time and time again to plead her case, received justice. And that due only to the fact that she was making him tired through annoyance. Not to say we should annoy God, really, just to say we should wholeheartedly ask him constantly for the gifts that He already promised. Gifts of Wisdom, Understanding , and Knowledge…ones that glorify not only God, but also ourselves by living as He prescribes…we reap the benefit of a perfect plan for health, longevity and oneness with God.  As He prescribes pertains to the words written in the Word. We need to ask for Wisdom in order to use the knowledge we gain from His Book; causing us to turn from our bad habits in joy, not in the spirit of loss and grief. Satan does try to give us that spirit when we are letting go of a negative thing…something hanging on in our daily habits that came with the package when we surrendered to God.

So I keep knocking and seeking Gods will to be my constant will. The Lord does sanctify my soul through out my life with Him. I see who I was as an innocent child with faith in Christ as a loving Being wanting to keep me safe from the apparent darkness in the World. I also see the progression from innocence to jaded by the World after entering into fast worldly business. Now I see how much I regret not staying right in the bossom of Love…sailing on through life in peace and safety, rather than in striving, struggling to make something huge happen.

Knock and it Will be Opened Up to…IF you ask.

Jesus instructed us to knock. To come to Him. To seek Him out and ask for entrance into His presence. There, we can seek His will to be done in our lives…not our own vain will.

Ask now for Wisdom, Knowledge and Understanding of His kingdom He designed for you. Get eternal life…get under God’s wing.

Nigerian man survives 3 days at bottom of Atlantic posted by on December 7, 2013

This is Odjegba Okene's Hand While Pleading God for Survival

This Image is a Similar Photo of Hand I found ONline....INteresting SIMILARITY.

Nigerian man survives a sunken tug boat accident, while being trapped under

100 feet of water in the Atlantic Ocean.

This photo of his hand was taken by frightened rescuers, as they thought they were searching only for corpses after the 3 days the boat sat on the bottom of the Sea.

Harrison Odjegba Okene, the tug’s Nigerian cook, had survived for three days by breathing an ever-dwindling supply of oxygen in an air pocket.

A video of Okene’s dramatic rescue  can be seen at —

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ArWGILmKCqE

— was posted on the INternet after the rescue and has gone viral this week . Video shows the unlikely rescue of a ship’s cook, who survived for almost three days trapped in an air bubble in his sunken ship. A miracle for all the World to witness.

As the temperature dropped to freezing, Okene, dressed only in boxer shorts, recited a psalm his wife had sent him earlier by text message, sometimes called the Prayer for Deliverance. “Oh, God, by your name, save me. … The Lord sustains my life.”

To this day, Okene believes his rescue after 72 hours underwater was the result of divine deliverance. The 11 other seamen aboard the tug Jascon 4 died.

On the video, there was an exclamation of fear and shock from Okene’s rescuers, and then joy as the realization set in that this hand belonged to a survivor. “What’s that? He’s alive! He’s alive!” a voice can be heard exclaiming.

Thank YOU Lord for saving this precious mans life by your grace.

WE accept your true miracle and pray we gain the wisdom you mean to teach willing souls about the meaning of life and the meaning of death.

WE see your mercy when you spare our lives in a miraculous way like this …even though …We all know that we often times grieve you, dear GOD.

Pocket Memory (poem)

I linger in the moment.
The moment diminishes into the past.
I meander reluctantly into the future,

Pocket Memory

the memory…tucked away neatly in my hip pocket.- Faceless Voice –

Please answer this in comments

Does this poem seem most likely to indicate the authors reflection on pain and depression?

Or revealing how, through joy and appreciation for the moment, we  honor God’s part in it by memorizing it for a lifetime? (tucked away in our hip pocket).

The Importance and Meaning of Baptism posted by on May 30, 2011

In the Christian community, baptism is one of the Holy Sacraments that each person has to go through. Months after the birth of the child, this simple ritual (which is usually celebrated with a whole or half day celebration) is held inside the church where the child is given his or her name. One of the major symbols is when the priest pours holy water on the forehead of the child.

More than a name-giving ritual, baptism has far more importance and significance in the life of a Christian. While many people participate in this solemn ceremony, some people do not know the full meaning of it. here are some key reasons why a child has to be baptized.

– The pouring of the water onto the child’s forehead symbolizes the association of the child to the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

– in Colossians 2, it mentioned that baptism was a way to be united with Christ. While everyone is born sinful, baptism allows a person to be born anew and this time without sin, as Christ is with him throughout the whole baptismal process.

– in baptism, the godmothers, godfathers, parents, and other witnesses, pledge on behalf of the child, to turn away from sin, and cling always to Christ.

– Baptism shows the community that this child, that this person, is a Christian, denouncing all works of evil, and is a public proclamation of his or her faith.

– Baptism allows not just the child, but everyone who is witnessing the event, to pronounce their belief in the death, resurrection, and cleansing of God’s children from sin. It is a visual reminder that everyone dies in sin, but can be resurrected and cleansed from sin only through God.

– this shows that the family acknowledges that even Christ himself was baptized, not to be freed from sin, but to rejoin God anew.

– Baptism shows we honor God and we acknowledge his power to overcome sin for us.

– It shows we believe that through the faith that we will demonstrate in this ritual. this faith will enable us to join everyone, and Christ, in the Christian community.

– Baptism is being done to babies, as this means that the journey of spiritual growth starts from our childhood years and not later in life.

– this also means acceptance of the Holy Spirit, making it easier for the believer to follow Christ as the Holy Spirit that is not inside him will serve as a guide.

Baptism is a holy sacrament and every aspect of it should be revered and honored. Just as Christ himself humbly surrendered to this sacrament, so should his children who want to follow his teachings and his life.

A reception is also normally done after a baptism because considering the effect or impact this has on the child’s life, the baptism indeed calls for a celebration. a complete party from the invitation to the favors, a baptism is generally a half day celebration from the ceremony to the baptism party.
